Sports news for Football fans

A happy day for the cules all over the world!! Its morning in India and still the nostalgia isn't dying of the results of football matches yesterday. While Premier League was having a day of upsets for the likes of Man Utd and Man CIty, same can be said about poor Real Madrid, who is still failing to understand that money cant bring happiness always. 100 million euros spend on a player they believed could lead up to being another Ronaldo alike at the opposite flank has been dealt with absolute dismay. They couldn't beat their city rivals, Athletico Madrid. When Barca faced them over two legs, Real Madrid were laughing at us that we couldn't manage a single win. Now they have played two back to back matches and they have lost both. Still the Hala Madrid fans are optimistic about winning the Liga. Lets not dismay them anymore.

Lets start with Barcelona. We were up against UD Almeria who have been battling in the Liga Adalente for the past two years. When match was up for grabs, they were reminded of the last meeting between these two sides, where Barca decimated them 8-0. Nothing of that sort happened, but to our shocker, Lionel Andres Messi has been substituted with a recurring injury to his thigh. He is perhaps missing out for a week and will be missing  the UCL clash against Celtic. Barca opened the flood gates at 22nd minute with a Messi screamer. Such was the unreality that his thigh gave up soon after. Barca were pressed and the match could have been equalized if not for the effervescent Valdes who is proving that Barcelona will be the crying partner when he departs. Second half was usual Barca stuff. With possession, possession and possession. Doubts of lessened possession against Rayo were put to dust in the last two matches where possession is averaging 70%. Cesc again lived up to the form and set up Adriano to seal a 2-0 victory thus extending our win streak in 7 consecutive matches, a club record. Despite this, the biggest story line should be that Barca kept a clean sheet. Marc Bartra lived up to his expectations and provided us that extra bit at the back which we lacked till now. Don't go far as this is just beginning. Hope the lad gets to realize his potential and make us realize that Puyol legacy will continue. Thats all for today.. Keep viewing..
