Neymar to follow Ronaldinho's footstep

 New Barcelona signing Neymar has revealed that he wants to emulate another Brazilian forward who made his name at the Nou Camp – Ronaldinho.

Whilst Lionel Messi is the king of the Catalans currently, the 21-year-old looks back to the legendary Brazil international for his inspiration.

“He [Ronaldinho] made history at Barça, he made history with Brazil, and he’s still making history,” Neymar was quoted in a newspaper.
“In my case, I’m starting to make history, and I hope to leave my mark at Barça.”
The forward was signed from Santos FC for £24.6m after distinct interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid, but Neymar was lured to Catalonia.
His idol Ronaldinho spent five years at Barca after joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2003 and was part of the revolution at the club that saw them become the most successful domestic side of the last decade.
During his time in the red and blue jersey the now 33-year-old dazzled opponents and teammates alike and won two La Liga titles and a Champions League.
The forward also helped Brazil to a World Cup win in 2002, with a famous looping free-kick from Ronaldinho knocking England out in the quarter-finals.
Since departing the Nou Camp the Brazilian has won trophies with AC Milan, Flamengo and now Atletico Mineiro, where the attacker currently resides.
Neymar clearly hopes that he can draw on the inspiration of Ronaldiho as he brings his own flavour of ‘Joga Bonito’ to the Spanish coast in an effort to become the new Brazilain hero at Barca.
