It was the move that saw one of Barcelona's greatest sons return home to much media and supporter fanfare, but in the two years since Cesc Fabregas left Arsenal for Barcelona, things have not worked out as many had hoped.

During his time at the Gunners, Fabregas was very much the No.1 man at the club—the lynchpin. Everything went through him and the team was built around his talents.
Given his Catalan heritage, he is loved just as much at Barca, but not in the same way as at the Emirates and it has impacted Fabregas' performances. He has struggled for form over the past two seasons, which has led many to suggest his time at the Nou Camp will come to an end soon. So, will it?

That's been the story at Barcelona, but it doesn't mean Fabregas doesn't remain a fine talent. He is an exceptional attacking force, linking up play from defence and attack to great effect. It's perhaps this transitional aspect of his game that isn't as lauded as his ability to find the back of the net, yet it remains just as important.

The same report from The Telegraph in 2011 suggests Arsenal have the right to first refusal on Fabregas, so while the rumor mill is filled with tales of Manchester United's apparent interest in the Spaniard, it could prove somewhat premature if Arsene Wenger acts upon that agreement.
