Will Real Madrid be the same again?

When Jose Mourinho joined Real Madrid from Inter Milan, he was on a high since he lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy beating Bayern Munich. He took time to adapt because a certain Barcelona under Pep Guardiola was rolling over every single opponent they faced. Real started their campaign well until they met a road block at Camp Nou, where they were literally decimated 5-0. Mou shacked off the shackles and tried hard to battle out but it wasn’t to be. Youngsters like Mesut Ozil, Khedira were putting their feet up and Ronaldo was starting to shine with 40 league goals. But Barcelona never let them go. They beat them over the 2 legs in the Champions League semifinals and went over to lift the ultimate trophy in club football. Next year, Mou changed his tactics and arrived strongly. Barcelona appeared to loose a bit of their cutting edge as Pep was seemingly tired. Real came over to Camp Nou and beat the Blaugrana at their helm in scintillating 2-1 scoreline, where they adopted a counter attacking style of play. They wrapped up the La Liga which they couldn’t for the past 3 years. Barcelona were beaten by Chelsea and all eyes now believed that Real Madrid will roll over Munich side and eventually lift the cup. But a certain Manuel Neuer had different plans and they upstaged a strong Madrid, which was described as the best Madrid team ever put up. All eyes were on the La Liga giants once again as everyone believed the last season was a minor blip. Barcelona started new life under Tito Vilanova and Madrid were successful in clinching the Spanish Super copa by 4-4 score line assisted by the away goals rule. That marked the only silverware for Mourinho as Barcelona shifted gears and went packing ahead by miles. Champions League journey was marked with ultra power packed performance and below par drubbing going side by side. Again semi finals reckoned and this time Real were ashamed by a sensational Borussia Dortmund (read Lewandowski). Mou was left empty handed again. In three years at helm of the team, he could garner only 3 trophies. With talks eventually coming up about a move back to Chelsea, the team president decided to mutually terminate his contract. With Real Madrid not at all in the same spirits, and growing differences among players publically announced, there are severe doubts about the team peaking yet again in the near future. Having outplayed by Barca in acquiring the services of Neymar, they are left to ponder over a lot of things that might underline the fate of Madrid in the upcoming season.
