Manchester City still have hope over Brazilian
Barcelona have had a bid for Manchester City target Neymar rejected, according to Santos vice-president Odilio Rodrigues.
The Brazilian forward is thought of as one of the best players in world football right now and City are struggling to compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid for his signature.
Rodrigues has admitted talks are on-going with Barcelona but he expects big spending Real Madrid to come in with an offer soon.
It is thought that Neymar would prefer a move to Spain where it will be easier for him to blossom before maybe making a move elsewhere in Europe one day.
City will have to work fast in order to get their man but without a manager, it is tough for the board to make any decisions on summer transfers.
“There is no agreement for Neymar, there are talks, I met [Barcelona's president Sandro] Rosell and [Barcelona's sporting director] Raul Sanllehi last week,” Rodrigues told Sky Sports.
“We had a very frank conversation. Talks need to continue because the offer was not good enough.”
