Alex Song will not be returning to Arsenal from Barcelona in the summer according to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
The midfielder is said to be unhappy with the Catalan giants after swapping the Emirates Stadium for the Nou Camp and there had been suggestions Wenger could re-sign him.
The Frenchman is still looking for a new midfielder to replace Song but has ruled out the player returning to Arsenal and has advised him to stick it out at Barca.
“There is no buy-back [clause] in his contract,” said Wenger. “He is a quality player and sometimes the players have to insist when it doesn’t go well and not change his mind too soon.
“My personal advice for him would be to give it another go and after two seasons he can still make a decision.”
