Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has rejected speculation that he will seek advice from Pep Guardiola on how to defeat Barcelona.
Heynckes, who is to be replaced by Guardiola at the end of the season, told reporters he would rather garner information from Johan Cruyff on how to tame the likes of Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta. Bayern Munich host Barcelona at the Allianz Arena next Tuesday as the two clubs battle it out to reach next month's Champions League final at Wembley.
Heynckes, who has managed the Bavarians on two previous occasions, said on Guardiola: "Out of respect for his old club Pep can't give away any details about Barcelona, but I don't need him to.
"I know Spanish football well and I know Barcelona well. If I wanted to call anyone I would choose Cruyff, because he invented Barca's style of play."The 67-year-old can afford to rest several key players for Saturday's Bundesliga match against Hannover - having seen his side win their domestic title with six games to spare.
