Barca want classy Germany international at the Nou Camp next season.
Spanish giants FC Barcelona may be about to make a move for in-demand Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels at the end of the season, says Spanish source Marca. Rumors have been circulating around Spain of late suggesting that the Catalans could be keen on bringing the skillful Germany international to Camp Nou this summer.
However, following Barcelona president Sandro Rossell’s recent comments on there being a certain German player who the club were interested in signing for next season, it is understood that Hummels is definitely that man.
But, with the 24-year-old contracted to the Bundesliga outfit until 2017, the defender will not come cheap, especially also considering the fact that Hummels is on current form one of the stand-out centre halves in the world game.
A fee in excess of £20 million is likely, however, to persuade Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp to part company with Hummels this summer.
